WELL INSPECTION
& FLOW RATE

If you’re on a well that means your water supply is your responsibility.  Although you don’t have to pay utility bills for water and sewer, you also don’t have the infrastructure of a local municipality to rely on when your system goes down.  That’s why you should have your well pump, holding tank and pressure gauges evaluated before you purchase a home.

It’s also important to know the flow rate of your well in gallons-per-minute.  A weak flow rate will yield water pressure issues and needless wear and tear on your pump as it cycles off and on to stay up with demand.  Also if you didn’t know, banks and mortgage companies will often require a flow test before they sign off on a loan.  And like every mechanical device, your well system has a service life and you really should know where your system is at before you buy.

At HD Home Inspections we provide well inspections for $150 and can perform it on site during the home inspection itself.  If you would like a well inspection only, the fee is $200.
